Rising Above Bakery is building a self-sustaining, community-oriented service business that makes and sells the finest baked goods while employing and imparting meaningful life skills to young adults with a wide range of developmental disabilities.
Our business has steadily grown, and today we are operating out of an interim bakery and storefront in Nyack, NY. We have a large crew with over 20 enthusiastic bakers and a long waiting list. We sell our baked goods using different venues and constantly growing while we are looking for our own brick & mortar in Bergen county NJ.
We had plans, and thought we had a clear path. We thought we would be in our own location by now, but the universe sent us on a different route. So we are adjusting.
We are now raising $9500 for a larger equipment we can use in our confined space. This equipment will help us meet the new demands as well as supporting our growth.
